Technique Towing & Heavy Haul in Oakhurst provides private property towing and storage services for business and property owners, management companies, home owner's associations, and security companies. You may find that your vehicle has been towed as a result of violating the parking rules on private property. We do not make the decision to have any vehicle impounded. We simply provide towing service at the request and written authorization of the business/property owner and/or approved party. Please complete the STORAGE RELEASE FORM and read the requirements below to pick up your vehicle.
Impound yards are open Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, except for federal holidays and lunch.

In order to protect you and your vehicle, we require PROOF OF OWNERSHIP - (ONE of the following):
- Current Registration
- Title with your printed name on the front (less than one-year-old)
- Signed over Title with a notarized Bill-of-Sale for each transfer
- A current DMV printout showing you as the vehicle owner
- A dealer's report of sale (DRS) that has not expired. New cars 20 days from date of purchase, used cars 10 days from date of purchase.
- Rental vehicles require a rental contract in your name
- Insurance papers are NOT accepted as proof of ownership
IF YOUR CAR HAS A HOLD:
Release authorization from the impounding agency.
PHOTO ID (one of the following):
- Any government-issued photo ID (foreign governments ok)
- Casino card with picture
- Any credit/debit card with a photo on the back
- Jail release form indicating ID was confiscated at time of impound (pink form)
- Combinations of social security card and birth certificate may be accepted on a case by case basis
INSURANCE ADJUSTERS:
Authorization for an insurance adjuster or company to inspect or pick up a vehicle must be given prior to us giving access. This authorization may be done verbally, by signing our release form, or by power of attorney.
